ColloidMill

Colloid Mill is prominently used in particle size reduction and particle de-agglomeration processes. The process is called emulsification. Colloid mills work on the rotor-stator principle. This is highly used in industries where grinding, dispersing, homogenising gel, ointment, and high-viscous fluid are essential. Majorly focused industries would be pharmaceuticals, food, fine chemicals, and many others.

The product is fed into the narrow gap between the stator and rotor through the inlet hopper. Due to the high level of shear force, a size reduction in material is obtained. Further particle size is achieved by modifying the gap between the rotor and stator assembly. The processed product can be obtained from the drain line, and if required, it can be recirculated with the help of a three-way cock valve.

Advantages:
  • Less wear and tear due to its build design
  • Uniform homogenising and higher throughput
  • Higher capacity with a minimum requirement
  • Increase the stability of suspensions and emulsions.
  • Compact in size
  • Easy to handle
